Gain the skills and training you need to broadcast your vision and express your views. From citizen journalists and bloggers to documentary filmmakers, DCTV provides educational opportunities and internships that give you the skills and training you need to create media that tells your story.
Our training programs are structured to emulate real-world production practices with modern production equipment used specifically at our station. In addition to learning the latest technology and techniques, you are provided the hands-on time necessary to learn the basics of our media equipment and studios.
"DCTV’s commitment to providing the tools necessary for a person to come in and learn and transfer those skills into a television program is fantastic." -
Lou Phillips, Producer of The Clio Exchange, (DCTV member since 2004)

- Check your calendar before registering! All students work together to create class projects. Attendance is mandatory for all scheduled class shoots and editing sessions.
- In classes that offer certification, you must attend all classes, participate in class productions, and pass all tests in order to be certified.
